The Instituto Vasco de Logística y Movilidad Sostenible-Mugikortasun Iraunkorra ta Logistikako Euskal Erakundea (IVL-LEE) has signed a collaboration agreement with LiderLED to promote energy efficiency studies among its partners to improve electricity consumption in their industrial centers and logistics platforms.

This initiative is in the line with the Action Plan designed by IVL for the implementation of actions aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Transport and Logistics Sector,  like those related to programs ECOSTARS, CIVITAS and Sustainable Urban Goods Distribution (DUM).

The agreement with LiderLED will allow to IVL partners to make studies in lighting so they can identify opportunities for energy savings, CO2 reduction and available grants for the implementation of such projects.

IVL already demonstrated last September its commitment to sustainability and environment care with the installation of high efficient lamps in its headquarters in Bilbao, which will allow savings in electricity consumption over 60%, which means also an emissions reduction of more than 260 kg CO2 per year.

LiderLED provides energy efficiency solutions for lighting offices and industrial warehouses. During this year leads the development of an specific lamp with LED technology and high light output for using in logistics platforms over 8 meters high.
