Liderlighting is the selected company to find an efficient solution to improve and optimize the existing lighting in an industrial plant intended for heat and surface treatments of metal parts up to 40 tons.

This industrial plant of 1500 m2 has been a challenge for the technical team of Liderlighting, as it is an industry with dirty environment and with high temperatures inside. The existence of 2 big furnaces produces an considerable increase of the inner ambient temperature. Furthermore the ambient contains a mid-level of dirtiness with suspended metal particles produced by the effect of the shot blasting machine, as well as smoke and pollution generated from the welding zones.

Given these parameters, the proposal from Liderlighting was the installation of the light fitting L2-T5FIX65Xt, special for harsh environments. This model is based on electronic T5 fluorescent technology with IP65 specially designed in galvanized steel, with Miro 4 aluminum reflector from the German brand Alanod, and a diffuser made of tempered glass. The electronic ballasts are Philips HF-Performer Xtreme series, and the fluorescent tubes are Philips TL-5 Xtra High Flow.

The installation has contributed to a significant increase in the light intensity, being the resulting average illuminance of 400 lux, value significantly higher than the 300 lux required by the UNE 12464-1 for this kind of activity. In this way, it is anticipated the decay of the luminous flux due to dirty environment.
