Liderlighting is again the chosen company to make more efficient the indoor lighting in tertiary use buildings, such as nursing homes and day-care centers, thanks to its proven solutions of efficient lighting. Evidence of this are the last two performances in efficient lighting made at two nursing homes located in Gipuzkoa and La Rioja.

In this sense it has undertaken the renovation of the lighting at zones destined to kitchen, laundry, dining, plus busiest areas such as hallways and lobbies. It has also undertaken the renovation of the lighting at existing offices in these centers, such as management offices, administration, etc.

For areas considered as wet like kitchens and laundries, L2-T8FIX waterproof fixtures from LiderLED were placed, replacing the existing waterproof luminaries of fluorescent tubes.

Likewise, L2-G recessed luminaries were placed in dining and corridors. Thanks to LED technology, the lighting at corridors is optimized by incorporating motion sensors, to get an automatic management of switching on/off depending on the use, without damaging the lifetime of equipment or lamps, such as it would happen with conventional fluorescent luminaries.

Regarding to offices, the existing lighting was replaced by recessed L2-G model from LiderLED, dimmable version. An EKOS dual sensor was installed in each space, to manage the lighting, getting the double functionality of automatic dimming of light intensity depending on the amount of natural light inside the room, as well as the stand-alone management of on/off by presence detection.

These actions have contributed to the reduce of energy consumption around 60% in the intervened areas of these nursing homes. About the resulting illumination level, values up to 25% higher has been obtained comparing to conventional illumination.
